ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Megan Golden, MEd

Megan Golden (née King) is in her second decade teaching Spanish in middle Georgia public high schools.  Her classroom serves students across academic, economic, linguistic, and ethnic spectra. She completed her M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction at Georgia College & State University, where she is enrolled in the doctoral program.  She completed her Foreign Language Teaching Certification and a B.A. in Spanish from Agnes Scott College in Atlanta.  Her philosophy and practice are deeply shaped by her training with the Schlechty Center and its framework for design and engagement.  She grew up near Buford Highway and Spaghetti Junction, has traveled in five countries, and can't wait to visit more.  She has a passion for Latin American literature and social justice.
